Jarvis Tyner, national executive vice-chair of the Communist Party USA, spoke in Detroit October 7, on the need to for "left and progressive" minded people to help insure a huge voter turnout for the midterm election.
Tyner is uncompromising in his support for the Democrats and Communist Party "friend" Barack Obama.

Prior to the 1948 election, Norman Thomas, head of the Communist Party in the USA noted that the party did not need to offer a Presidential candidate as the Dem party had co-opted their agenda. Look at the CPUSA platforms of 1963 and 2008 with a search.

Norman Thomas, trained as a Christian minister, was the head of the Socialist Party, and thought of himself as an anti-communist. He was the late Bill Buckley’s first guest on his “Firing Line” show.
Obama and his friends are far more extreme than Norman Thomas ever was.
