Very true. Which is why, once in a while, it helps to look around and see what the VOTERS are like in a particular neck of the woods.
In Massachusetts, the majority of voters are slightly to the right of Che Guevara. The fact that Scott Brown (R-MA) holds a Massachusetts Senate seat is a miracle of Biblical proportions. Yet, there are those who attack Scott Brown as a RINO because he's not as conservative as we are on Free Republic.

Delaware is not as far left as Massachusetts but it is still on the wrong side of the political 50 yard line.
O'Donnell was beaten like a red-headed stepchild, 65% to 35%, when she ran for the Senate two years ago against Joe Biden. Now, she's doing much better. Now, she is only being slapped silly instead of being beaten to a bloody pulp with a baseball bat.
Mike Castle is not as conservative as we are on Free Republic but he is as conservative as a majority Delaware VOTERS are willing to tolerate.

We cannot afford this kind of self-indulgent stupidity. Some states in the Union are almost as conservative as we are on Free Republic. Most states are NOT.
