Just hours before the final deadline, dozens of Alaskans came out Thursday to register as write-in candidates in an effort to thwart Sen. Lisa Murkowski's bid to retain her Senate seat.

At the urging of a local talk radio host, more than 50 people reportedly signed up to be write-in candidates with the Alaska Division of Elections before registration closed.

I hope Lizza Merkousky registered as a write in candidate, and others with ‘similar names’.

Could be up to 200 names on that write-in list.

I really hope of those 50+ people, at least 2-3 with names like Liza Moskowsky or Lisa Maruski. Now, how are the state going to decide the intend based on ‘wrong spelling’?

Now will these write-in candidates vote for themselves and not Miller?

Oh, don't worry it will happen.

To me, this is the PERFECT legal, civil disobedient, political guerilla theater to thwart the powers that be, not seen in a long time. Good shoe Alaskans!

This can also serve as an operaational template for when / if, Obama in one fell swoop decides he is going to legalize 20 million illegal aliens to ready them for the 2012 election in payback for the 2010 debacle he is going to go through. The Federal system can be legally swamped in such a way that those illegals will have to wait years upon years to get there proper "papeles".

Grassroots power at work, folks.

They're all voting for Miller. Being registered as write-ins gets their name on the list being handed out to all the Mikoosky voters.

Right, that’s the reason but wonder if a few will be tempted or their family members will be tempted.
