Two pronged approach: 1, remove any taxpayer direct funding. 2, remove their non profit exemption.

Juan Williams is not the issue. They need to be defunded on principle. We’re broke, and they are 1) using taxpayer money and 2) unconstitutional.

Absent Federal dollars that flow through CPB to NPR and the local NPR affilated stations (which is then paid to NPR in the form of programming charges), NPR would not exist.

You always hear the "but it's only 2 percent" reply when you talk about de-funding.

To which I say, "If it's only 2 percent, then you're doing OK, and we ought to remove that 2 percent!"
