Jello is leftist, but the fun thing is he has no problem sticking it to Democrats too, or really anyone who pisses him off. California Ueber Alles was written for Jerry Brown, casting him as a Hitler who would use his secret police to enforce his brand of hippie fascism. The cover was of a Nazi rally with smiley faces over the swastika banners, and Brown in place of Hitler.
The thing is: Punk is Anti-establishment. So when Jello goes after Moonbeam, Cash flips off the cameraman at San Quentin, GWAR does their level best to offend everyone, or Bill Hicks goes after George Bush, Sr that is the par for the course.
Also, music is up for interpretation. My favorite music for getting enthused for this election is Rage Against the Machine “Bulls on Parade” - “Rally round your family, pocket full of shells.”
Every time Rush fires up his radio program Chrissy Hynde’s soul dies a little bit. She actually sued to keep Rush from using it back in the day, now she just cashes the royalty check. Hell, the best revenge is using a lefties own music against them. Come to think of it Muse is Glenn Beck’s fav band and in his opening bumper.
Lastly, the Tea Party is the best example of DIY org that I have ever seen. Not that you would get New Music Express to admit that. ConservPunks and South Park Conservatives UNITE! Wilkow rules.
