They don’t examine the results of their policies because the results don’t matter one bit to them.
Once they feel good about themselves for supporting policy X,
“mission accomplished” as far as they are concerned.
Pointing out the failures of those policies they support for their own self-aggrandizement is considered a personal attack, because it IS an attack on what makes them feel good about themselves.
When my girls (6 and 4) are being selfish or bossy or whiney or proclaiming entitlement,
I tell them “stop that or you’ll grow up to be a democRat”.
They usually say, indignantly, “I’ll NEVER grow up to be a democRat”.
lol... love it!
Meanwhile, the creditors of the resulting insolvent government call the shots at the bond window. They stay very rich.
I just said it in four sentences. If you don't include the sponsors of the left in the equation, you don't know how or why it works the way it does. Even Sowell doesn't have a good grip on that.
most are just bloody morons
“most are just bloody morons.”
Morons who think they’re brilliant, intellectual geniuses with the power to tell others what to think.
IMHO
Great post! The Left must be sent packing, indeed1
“The Left ARE Ticks.......................”
That’s a simpler, but appealing descriptive, explanation.
Yes, Berkeley is the perfect example of the ideological fantasy world of the left. You could see as soon as you enter Berkeley the lack of upkeep on the houses due to the high taxes. People have tax themselves to the point that they can’t afford paint, storm windows and a new roof. That what I mean by “insanity”.
Leftists are so far down the Marxist rat hole, for over 150 years, that you can’t even communicate with them anymore. It’s noy worth the effort. It is their very assumptions that must be assailed: dialectical materialism, labor theory of value, lack of trust in individualism, their view of economic classes (which they see as static, not dynamic) and their belief the State should run everything.
By the way, Fourth Street was great. Peet’s Coffee is still my favorite. I just liked the name :)
