1: People watch who they agree with. About 15.5 mil agree with FOX, about 5.5 mil agree with (P)MSNBC, about 2.2 agree with CNN.
2: Ratings drive revenues. Sponsors do not pay a fixed rate for commercials. They pay per 1000 viewers delivered. That means FNC is earning about 3 times what MSNBC is, 7 times what CN is, and FNC has lower fixed costs than either!
3: CNN is no longer even a serious player.
4: Some shows are DOA; Behar, Schuultz, and possibly Cooper and Maddow. King is leaving. Piers will have 90 days to develop and audience.
Well, by golly, I was right. My family is larger than Ms. Behar’s audience!
(I don't watch TV).
I knew she was on "The Spew" with Baba Wawa, but I didn't know she had her own show.
Maybe she needs to shout a little more, to generate some excitement...
It's sad when artists like Al Kooper and B.B. King draw such a small crowd...
OK with all these ratings for a more “fair and balanced” news...why are there so many democrats in this Country?
I just do not get it.
And where is MONEY ROCKS...on the ratings. I LOVE that show more then any other one!
My gym always has some TOTAL CRAP like CNN on. I have complained many times.
If FOX is too controverial for them, I suggested they tune in DISCOVERY or something.
I actually abandoned my treadmill during some whorepie goldbugger scene.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
I must have missed the stellar ratings for CNNs Client Number 9?
That is what I was thinking..Spitzer didn’t even make the radar. Expect a few Conservative shows to come on CNN in 2011. They have no other choice.
For whatever reason I don’t enjoy Shep Smith’s program. I always go looking at fox business channel when he shows up.
Drama but no substance in both the show and the host.
Maybe you need to work out somewhere else.
Where’s the pic or Mr. Burns saying Excellent? This is great news.
Wow, O’Reilly milked the Juan Williams thing for all it was worth. He’s sooooo far above everyone else for understanding the average American’s mixture of entertainment and politics wants. Hats off to a guy that I really can’t stand to watch.
OTOH...Obama will want to bailout CNN next. Oh shut my mouth.
What’s also gratifying is the plummet of Hardball down below Ed Schultz. Matthews is 100K below that dolt. I’ll bet he’s having a hissy fit.
I was just thinking about this very thing when I was at the bbq restaurant the other day and they had CNN on on half the tvs and ESPN on the other half. I bet you can easily account for half a million “viewers” nationwide with restaurants, real estate offices, doctor offices, airports, etc where it is playing nonstop...
Next question is how much of fox’s ratings are made up by similar audiences? Don’t see it on in very many public places, tbh...
In the race to the scum-sucking bottom of the sewer, no one can touch Behar. Go, Behar! Burrow deeper!
I've been to three different gyms this year in two different states. No joy.
Whorepie Goldbugger, Baba Wallturds etc. are ALWAYS there.
I just wear earplugs and close my eyes, when possible.
I can’t believe that Beck is lower than Shep Smith. And they just signed Shep up to a new contract. ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! Fox needs to get rid of Shep!!!
