Wilkerson Slams Waxman's Cluelessness About His Own Cap & Trade Bill
chuckwilkerson4congress.com ^ | October 27, 2010 | Chuck Wilkerson for Congress

Posted on 10/27/2010 8:33:02 AM PDT by MichaelAsher54

Henry Waxman wrote the Cap & Trade bill, one of the most consequential pieces of legislation in U.S. history and has neither an understanding nor knowledge of what's in the bill. "I certainly don't claim to know everything that's in this bill," he said, "I relied on scientists." Unfortunately for the rest of us, thousands and thousands of scientists disagree with the junk science upon which Waxman relied (including scientists from the EPA).

Chuck Wilkerson, Waxman's opponent for Congress in California's 30th District, feels congressmen should have at least a modicum of understanding of the fields they legislate.

I’ll bet you dollars to doughnuts that not only did Waxman not write the bill but that he hasn’t even read it. It was most likely written by a group of twenty-something moonbat staffers supervised by some career political hack.

Henry Waxman is also responsible for 1) the government telling us what kind of toilets and shower heads we can have and 2) the government telling us what kind of light bulbs we can have. I could give countless other examples of how he has done as much to erode Liberty in our country as anyone in Congress.

I imagine that most of the “scientific” findings that support *cough cough* man-made global warming were drug induced....

Waxman , Reid, and Gore should all be put in jail for trying to defraud the American People.

All legislation should cite which portion of the Constitution makes the bill legal and within Constitutional bounds.
Also should be mandatory for all new legislation to be read on the floor and make the bill public for We the People to consider.
Make the elected representatives represent.

“I relied on scientists.”

That is a lie. The dubious science behind global warming has nothing — absolutely nothing — to do with Cap’n Trade legislation other than providing a rationale for its existence.

Cap’n Trade is a vehicle to achieve complete government control over human activity and to endow government with a new sort of intangible wealth.

There is no human activity that does not involve emissions of greenhouse gas. The scope of potential regulatory control under Cap’n Trade is without limit.

Just as significant, Cap’n Trade creates a new form of property, the right to emit greenhouse gas. Ownership of this new property is conveyed to the government. The government will sell these property rights for money at auction. The government may also grant some of property rights without charge to political favorites and withhold them from the politically disfavored.

That ain’t science; that’s tyranny.

A carbon tax, as reprehensible as it would be, would be much more transparent, just, and economically efficient than Cap’n Trade.

I forgot to say that a carbon tax would also be just as effective in reducing GHG emissions, it that’s really important to anybody.

This always comes to my mind whenever I see or hear about Waxman ....

“Sitting on a park bench
eyeing little girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.”

(Jethro Tull, Aqualung. I love this song, mostly for the music)

Every senator and representative should be required to sign an affidavit that he or she has read the entire bill before they vote on the bill. Falsifying the affidavit should made a felony carrying a mandatory minimum five years in prison.

You got that right. California voters are the brain dead fools that the State spent millions educating them the benefits of socialism and communism.

LOL, yes if you can tear her away from her cheeseburger. If she's not available maybe you can catch Barry on one of his smoke breaks.
