Distrust is a fair word. I do distrust Christian religions that get too powerful and uniform.

As an Evangelical so do I . History has proven that they get rid of us fundamental Bible believers first

The John Birch people have done an admirable job of getting rid of anti-semites, but they still prowl the ranks.

Times are changing , I am afraid it is not for the better. Take a good look at who the liberals are giving entry visas to.

I could see how this love turns into hostility and hate when Jewish people “fail to love Jesus.” I’ve seen it on this thread. I could see them going the Roman Catholic route and forcing their religion on Jewish people “for our own good,” very easily.

I do not know if you realize this but we can not even push this on our own children ,if they/you don't come willingly they/you are NOT one. We can talk to them and raise them in the way , the choice to follow the Messiah is up to them . You can not be forced to become "born again" it doesn't happen by sprinkling water on a babies head , you are not born into it by birth . It's that simple. You don't want = YOU ARE NOT , no ands buts or ifs. Honestly I think many post here are emotional , many because people really are worried for Israel and America . Many have a hard time imagining how some can vote against the interest of both countries and against freedom in general. (BTW how < 2% of the population votes is not the problem - the real problem is how all the others voted)

It’s happened for 1900 years — the last 100 is the abberation. So, yes, there is a tension.

This country was built on fundamental Biblical princaples , it's been longer than that . That is why generally Americans are good , that is why Americans are free (it's also why Jewish Americans are equal citizens -BTW is the only country in the world who did that and it was done from the very beginning of the formation of the country.) The only reason you think it has only been around 100 years is because well most of our Jewish population came to us after WWII but trust me I know this countries history and it was a Jewish man who helped finance our revolution that gave this nation it's independence from England. Evangelicals for the most part have not been terribly vocal , you are hearing us loudly now because we really do see the troubles comings. If anything changes the balance of the fundamental principles of this republic like many communist and liberals are trying to do by re-education & mass immigration this country will be no different than any other. If fundamental Bible believers vanished over night things would change drastically overnight and things would be no different here than they were in Europe. Trust me I totally understand the tension , I know history - they have to get rid of us first

This is a very important point which I do not think most Jews understand. Fundamentalist chr*stians do not baptize their children. They raise them to hold chr*stian beliefs but each individual must make that decision for him/herself.

Fundamentalist chr*stianity isn't baptism and participation in rituals, Jewbacca. There are no rituals. Externals mean nothing. "Conversion to chr*stianit" (in the Fundamentalist tradition) is something that happens deep inside, not forced baptism and participation in rituals.

I wish more Jews understood this, but alas, they do not. And it's easy to understand why. Fundamentalist chr*stianity is very new. There has been nothing like it in chr*stian history up until a few hundred years ago (Fundamentalists will disagree!). And unfortunately, they are the ones paying the price for two thousand years of chr*stian atrocities while the churches who committed those atrocities get off scot-free.
