Jews have been politically astute (and blessed) enough to survive as a distinct people and culture for over 4,000 years. Who identifies themselves anymore as Mycenaean, Etruscan, Vandal, Toltec or Avar? The DNA is still in circulation to be sure, but as social or political entities, they are barely remembered footnotes and artifacts.
