” Very few people in the U.S. have given any serious consideration to the question of food security. “

It’s amazing how often the subject of food - food prices and gardening plans - comes up in conversation in our small rural community, lately....

The Elites may not be taking notice, yet - but down here in the weeds, it’s a real issue....

The Elites are so out of touch this is a real issue for people I have watched our food bill go up, up, up. My husband just retired a few months ago and we saved of course and have a pension plan, etc. but I am now rethinking how we are going to spend what I thought would be for extras since I know our income won’t go up and our savings are earning little. Not to mention we just found out our health insurance is going up $200.00 a month! From $829.00 to $1,029.00 boom that’s a big increase in one step and who knows how much more it will rise.

I was appalled to see Billions that taxpayers are stuck with referred to as “Mere” in a post last night the elites don’t seem to get it. On top of all the cost increases in food, insurance, etc. people have lost a lot of money from their 401k’s, pension plans and savers are making next to nothing.

Many Americans who lost their jobs those lucky enough to find another have mainly done so at a greatly reduced salary and reduced hours.

” the loss could be a mere $51 million to $66 billion “

Incredible that they think of this as a MERE as if it was nothing! Do they forget this is real money to the taxpayers picking up the tab? Not to mention the other loss we already took on CIT in the billions and the billions at Fannie/Freddie.

I am shocked and disgusted that they treat this as if it is trivial when so many people lost so much of their 401k’s, money in pension plans, and are making next to nothing while these banks profit at our expense and the dollar is destroyed due to printing tell all of us how it’s a “MERE
$51 million to $66 billion”.
