UPDATE:
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.
President Barack Obama will campaign in Virginia Friday for embattled Rep. Tom Perriello.
Obama will speak at a rally for Perriello at the Charlottesville Pavilion, an amphitheatre located on the city’s downtown mall.
Perriello is locked in a highly competitive race against Republican state Senator Robert Hurt.
White House official said Friday’s event was added at the request of Democratic House leadership and Perriello’s campaign.
With the November 2nd election fast approaching, Obama is spending much of this week at the White House. He’ll wrap up his midterm elections campaigning on a two-day, four-state swing this weekend as he makes a final push to rally Democrats ahead of Election Day.
Friday’s event is expected to begin after 5:00 p.m. The President is scheduled to fly into Charlottesville-Albemarle Regional Airport aboard Air Force One.
That's a very small runway served mostly by turbo props. I wonder how exactly they plan to fit Air Force One on such a runway.
