The Senate Conservatives Fund, headed by Sen. Jim DeMint (R., S.C.), announced that it has contributed more than $5.2 million to 14 Republican Senate candidates this campaign season, almost all of them backed by tea party activists and opposed to compromise on fiscal and social principles.
Mr. DeMint has fashioned a role for himself as an ally and supporter of these candidates, in many cases endorsing and funding them against the wishes of the Senate Republican leadership. This has raised questions about the role Mr. DeMint might play in the next Congress, and whether he’ll function as the de facto leader of a group of senators determined to cut spending and taxes and repeal President Barack Obama’s health plan, at the cost of tying up the Senate if necessary.
Mr. DeMint’s donations include $871,000 for Ken Buck in Colorado; $682,000 for Sharron Angle in Nevada; $573,000 for Marco Rubio in Florida; and $505,000 for Christine O’Donnell in Delaware.

Yes, he is. Jim DeMint defines principled conservatism. When’s the last time you heard the phrase:
“HE HAS THE COURAGE OF HIS CONVICTIONS.”
I can’t think of anything better to say about someone. A quick Google gave me Abraham Lincoln and Clarence Thomas. Great company.

I’m interested in which candidates are funded by DeMint’s Senate Conservatives Fund and are NOT backed by the various local Tea Parties.
That is where the story is... what’s the situation in those states?
Only one I’m aware of. Rossi in WA State. Didier was the tea party favorite in the primary.
