I had a very sudden and irregular type of windstorm to hit me here in Wasilla awhile back, lost power for two days.
Be prepared, get those 12 hour chemical lights or LED camping lanterns. And some potable water. If its going to be cold at night its time to think about an independent heat source, like a wood stove, most people don’t realize most modern heaters still require some electrical power, I thought I could just use my oven, no it has to have 120vac, the top burners can be lit but not the oven.
ooops, sorry wrong image, I forgot it was in my copy cache.
Going to round up the flashlights while I still can! It’s only supposed to drop to the 50’s, that’s warm to us, now the Floridians put on winter coats when it drops to 60!
People that use a gas stove in the kitchen can light it with a match to cook and partially to heat the area...if gas lines are not involved...I have had to do that a couple of times out here in the semi country.....
