What the GOP needs to realize is that this pattern of personal attacks will continue, and be even worse in 2012. The GOP candidates need to divulge EVERYTHING, no matter how minor, how little and get it out when they first announce their candidacy. Remember W’s DWI just before the vote in 2000? Noem in SD almost blew it because of some speeding tickets..if she had put it all out when she first announced..it’d be no big deal..properly handled, it can be a PR plus..here I am, warts and all, but I’m running on the issues..etc..

There are actually things in your federal personnel records that are PROTECTED from disclosure.

Still, when you retire you simply advise the records custodian in Personnel that if ANYTHING is ever released you will come back and hunt them down and cut them into little pieces.

My friends in E&LR advised me that such threats are common and there's really not much they can do about them.
