I wonder how many doctors will switch to a strictly cash business? I’m sure the government will make it harder and more expensive for them to do this. They might even make it illegal. Welcome to the new America.

Back alley dialysis treatments.

The black market will hum with weapons and medicine.

Then we will take the Bastille.

I’ll go back to an all cash business for as long as they will allow, and as long as anyone has any cash, or insurance companies that will play along.

I did this before for a few years and it worked well. I wrote a receipt for the patient when they paid me, listing diagnosis, service performed, and what they paid. They sent that to their insurance company for reimbursement. Only Medicare wouldn’t allow this back when I did it. I only stopped it because we decided to move elsewhere and I took a salaried job.

I doubt the Feds will let us do this for long, though. I may just retire early or work in a UPS store or something when they force me to play it their way.
