Looks like Ellsworth is in for a good old fashioned butt kicking come election day. Not really a surprise, but good to know Coats is this far ahead.

Actually, I prefer to think of this as Coat’s old Senate seat.

I’m not real fired up about Coats, but I’ll hold my nose and vote for him against Elsworth.

Finally saw first Coats yard sign yesterday. Considering there are a dozen signs for Todd Young on our road and I seen only that many total on the main roads in the entire county for Hill....I'd say this area will be a total “R” sweep. Even the current D sheriff is sweating bullets.

Pre election voting is averaging above 30/day at the court house...Usually a half dozen. Folks are angry.

Not only is Coats winning back his old seat, but Ellsworth’s seat (the bloody 8th) is looking likely to flip back to the GOP as well. Baron Hill and Joe Donnelly are also getting strong challenges in districts that have had Republican reps as recently as 2006 (Chocola, Sodrel). Winning back a Senate seat and 1-3 House seats is a good year no matter how you look at it.

We drove through southern Indiana during the Columbus Day weekend. I was happy to see all the Todd Young signs. Do you think he can win against Baron Hill?

Hill always leaves attack lies till the last week...Just hope Young saved money and secured time on the air to batter them....Young will do well in our area....It’s Bloomington and the area along the Ohio that the rats take. Young is a lawyer in Bloomington and rumor has it he’s enlisted some of the law students to help campaign there....The river....are just River Rats....Not much hope.
