I suppose it does. But the word "radical" means different things, depending on which noun it modifies.
If you read "radical Mennonite," do you think of people flying planes into buildings? What about "radical Catholic"? Is there an immediate association with terrorism?
What is a “radical Mennonite” or a “radical Catholic”? I know what is radical muslim is - it’s a muslim.
