For 33 years, Florida forced them to hide behind a veil of secrecy.
But now, prospective parents who are gay can legally adopt a child in Florida. Already, some are stepping forward, putting the process in motion. For others, it means a quicker end to their legal limbo.
"We've had a lot of sleepless nights and a lot of tears,'' said Melanie Leon Alenier, who with partner Vanessa Alenier has been fighting the state over the right to adopt 21-month-old Ethan, a biological relative who has been with them since he was nine days old.

This disgusts me beyond reason. The normal people are being attacked on so mary fronts in this country to make it impossible to fend off all the threats. Time for the corbomite weapon to be employed.

Bill McCollum (AG) lost the Republican primary election for Gov. to Rick Scott.

Young women who make the very difficult decision to give up their biological children for adoption (rather than choosing abortion) should be allowed to demand that gay couples not be eligible to adopt them.
This whole debate should also give pause to women getting pregnant outside of marriage. It is reckless and selfish to give birth to children who have no father committed to raising them.

Warning to young men who risk fathering sons who might well be adopted by gay men; without their knowlege or permission.
Biological, parental rights do not exist outside of marriage!!

And what became of this child's actual parents?

There are so many couples wanting to adopt and only a limited number of kids, especially infants. I wonder how many heterosexual couples are being denied adoptions in favor of granting them to homosexuals. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is being done just for political correctness.

This whole debate should also give pause to women getting pregnant outside of marriage. More than likely it will just give them one more reason to abort.

Supply & demand.
We know that abortion facilities rake in $billions for murdering ‘the inconvenient unborn’.
Does anyone believe that there are no shady adoption agencies enticing desperate pregnant women to sell their babies?

It sure isn't being done with the best interests of the kids in mind. This is just another example of liberals trying to make a deviant group feeeel good. So what if they have to sacrifice some kids to do it? Awful.

These adoptions tend to remake society, redefine family, undermine traditional culture and morals, and make a messy impact on the next generation.
