This is a very strange ad I received in the mail today. I am party registered, but not as a Democrat, nor as a libertarian. The election is endangered incumbent Kratovil-D against Andy Harris-R.

So when I get this ad, I have to look up the guy to see who he is and find he is the Libertarian Congressional candidate in Maryland's 1st district.

The front of the ad features words I support, and a photo of Mr. Davis taken from his website (meaning not a mean, nasty photo that opposition advertising frequently employs). The only quirky thing on the front is that they show a picture of a protest in front of the Capitol, with sign logos that have clearly been pasted over the actual signs of the photos. They represent some of the more extreme anti-Obama sentiments.

On the ad reverse, it seems to question whether this is the right approach, but doesn't end with a "HE IS TOO CONSERVATIVE" but rather with a soft question "is he too conservative?"

I can only believe that the DCCC is trying to draw right-wing votes away from Harris-R and to Davis-L, to help Kratovil-D.

Also, the fact that they show harsh anti-Obama signs while talking about Tea Party, they must as a secondary effect be trying to drum up anti-Tea Party sentiment.

All in all, a very strange ad.

I should note that Davis' website says he refuses contributions. One must thus conclude that he eschews advertising as well. I guess the Dems felt they had to spend their own money to play the Perot game.

This seems to be the democrat’s favorite game this year.

Michigan’s democrat secretary of state candidate is neck deep in the false tea party attempt.
