The most surprising thing about this article is that people are still reading Newsweak. Everything thing else is par for the course.

You're right. I thought they had gone under. Wasn't there a "national" news magazine that went under? Or was it bought for 1$ or some such? Well, a free market will eventually rid us of drivel like Newsweek - probably why they are afraid of free markets and the libs keep pushing idiocy like the fairness doctrine, or any of its follow on acts with Orwellian double-speak names that are anything but fair and balanced.

The only time I am close to a Newsweek is in the doctors office. For some reason, that, Oprah and Field and Stream are the only magazines in there. I opt for Field and Stream, even though I’ve read the few that are in there a dozen times.

I believe they have suspended print, and gone to internet website only. They couldn't sell any advertising in their magazine, and nobody wanted to subscribe to the same ol' same ol'. It had shrunk to about 60 pages when it was folded.
