The other three were deer in the headlights to Krauthammer. They had no answer to his question as to the difference between Tottenberg's approach and Juan's approach, and Tottenberg is a reporter, not an analyst.

Defund NPR now, and prohibit any local public station that receives federal funds from remitting any funds to NPR.

They talked around the answer didn’t they? I hope Congress does defund them. How is it Constitutional for the fed to be the propaganda business?

Good point about the local stations, which should be prohibiting from remitting federal money to NPR.

As I understand it, the parent of NPR and PBS is The Corporation For Public Broadcasting. CPB gets about a half-$Billion from the feds. They then dole it out to NPR, PBS AND the member stations. The member stations then use the money to buy content from NPR.

So therefore NPR has two streams of money from the feds - direct from CPB and indirect laundered money from the member stations. I read an estimate that NPR gets 70% of their money directly and indirectly from the feds, 30% from contributions.
