Saddam invaded Iran and Kuwait. He was a despicable tyrant who murdered hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and buried them in mass graves. Enough of this Leftist BS about sanctions and the deaths of children caused by UN sanctions.
I visited Kuwait a few days after it was liberated. I walked thru and flew over the burning oilfields set on fire by Saddam. I walked the "mile of death" that was the result of Saddam's looting of Kuwait and the vehicles filled with stolen goods. America liberated Kuwait and Iraq.
Yes we did, though we didn't liberate Iraq until 2003. The sanctions weren't terminated until then.
Do you have anything that proves that UN sanctions [not US] killed Iraqis?
First, they were UN sanctions with US backing and support, as the Clinton administration admits in this video. Remember "There are those who want to lift the sanctions. I am not among them."? Apart from what the Clinton administration acknowledges in this video, if you honestly believe our sanctions didn't kill any Iraqis, then posting more of the same won't convince you. We'll just have to disagree on this.
I don’t believe the CIA would do such a thing. The intelligence agencies and the Pentagon are there for us. There are thousands within those organizations that DESPISE this president, just as HE DESPISES THEM. There is no solidarity in the government personnel that support Obama.
The fact is that they were UN sanctions approved by the Security Council. The sanctions did not kill anyone—Saddam was totally responsible.
Thanks. I’ll try to remember that as I replay the Clinton Administration’s own comments.
Keep beating that empty drum.
I’ll let the readers decide. Unless you post something worth replying to, you can have the last word.
You are part of the “Blame America” crowd. Saddam Hussein could have cared less about his own people. He was a murderous tyrant. The UN sanctions did not kill anyone. Saddam was totally responsible for the deaths that happened in his country, not America or the UN.
