I notice that 0bama's speeches this election cycle are quite different in tone compared to his speeches during his own campaign. In 2008, his was more 'positive' and uplifting, full of hyperbole promises that make people feel good. Today, most of his speeches are about this evil conservative and that evil Republican. Gone are any pretense that he would be 'post-racial' and 'post-partisan' leader.

And he is hoping his campaigning would give similar results as in 2008?

Hate and idealism can both be used to gain political power. He came to power with optimism but hate is what burns in his hart me thinks.

I do not think the left understands how it is destroying the last shreds of decency and respect in public discourse. And to the extent it understands it doesn’t care. The entire public sphere will soon belong to intolerance, vitriol, and extremism.

Politics have now been striped of all issues except the naked lust for money and power. Almost all the issues that touch to the quick the very lifeblood of the nation are verboten. People are loosing hope in democracy and look upon all our elected officials with an absolute cynicism and contempt they richly deserve.

There will be change soon, real change. And not the kind of change that Obama and his cohorts want.
