Karl Rove is a professional Republican politician. His job involves working to nominate the best possible GOP candidates in his opinion, and then FIGHT for any candidates nominated by the Republican voters (assuming that they aren’t David Dukes). He failed at his job.

He is currently a private citizen. He is not employed by a Republican entity as far as I know. He has no duty to FIGHT for anyone. It certainly isn't his "job". He screwed up and let his true concerns about O'Donnell out in public. BFD. He still has helped more Republicans get elected than any other person in the country.

we have to decide if they are sufficiently acceptable, in the circumstances,to support or even vote for.

Sure, if they're not conservative enough you help the Democrat be elected. Great strategy!

I still think its two-faced for freepers to trash Rove because he criticized a nominated Republican when they turn around and trash nominated Republicans for whatever reason.

They like O'Donnell and are po because Rove said bad things about her...being the nominated candidate doesn't really have anything to do with it.

‘He is currently a private citizen’

I said he was a professional Republican politician. Like any professional he retains his profession whether or not he has a client. if a lawyer does not have a client and robs a bank, he loses his profession. If a doctor cuts of the wrong organ he will lose his profession. If a professional Republican politicians goes around attacking Republican candidates for office, he will lose his profession.

Freepers who are not even Republicans have no such professional obligation.
