"The crowd breaks into an impromptu Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the candidates forum between 8th Congressional District (Illinois) candidates Joe Walsh, Melissa Bean and Bill Scheurer at Grayslake Central High School."

Is that still legal?
I find this comforting to know that people still want to show respect for their country by pledging the allegiance to the flag. It is sad that the moderator felt she was “dis-respected” because of the people’s choice to open with the allegiance, even though it wasn’t “scheduled” into the forum.
I hope that will be the last time I am disrespected, she said.
This is the moderator who, when asked by members of the audience to recite the pledge before the meeting, told them it was not part of the schedule. Members of the audience then recited the pledge on their own.
No, lady, our disrespect for you has only begun.
“Dhimmicrats were seen fleeing for their lives” LOL
I meant that she was the idiot, not you, bcsco!
I'm sure they'd appreciate hearing from us how impressed we are with Ms Kathy Tate-Bradish and her putting her discomfiture ahead of the Pledge of Allegiance.
I think it’s considered a hate crime.
I can only imagine the humiliation she was forced to endure by being subjected to the flagrant display of patriotism displayed by American citizens reciting the Pledge of Allegiance...;-)
Her remark was an attempt to intimidate people into OBEYING her anti-American ideology by making them feel they've broken some sort of moral law. She knows she wasn't personally disrespected, but if she can make it appear that way, maybe they'll refrain from saying the Pledge the next time, (at least in her twisted little mind, that is). The Left is about to get trampled under the feet of conservatives, and they know it.
Oh, come on. You don't have to explain.
Here's the email I just sent the League of Women Voters Evanston Branch:
According to the Daily Herald website, the narrator of the 8th Congressional District candidates forum Wednesday night at Grayslake Central High School, Ms Kathy Tate-Bradish, represents the League of Women Voters Evanston IL branch. The article goes on to say that members of the audience asked that the Pledge of Allegiance be said before the meeting. Her reply was that while she meant no disrespect, the forum was not scheduled to begin with the pledge. She said no one demanded the Pledge of Allegiance to start at four other candidate forums she's moderated this year.
However, the crowd rose and almost to a person recited the pledge anyway. Ms Tate-Bradishs response from the podium was I hope that will be the last time I am disrespected, she said.
My response to Ms Tate-Bradish, and to you, the League of Women Voters Evanston Branch is this: No, my disrespect for you, Ms Tate-Bradish, and you the League of Women Voters, has only begun. You have disrespected our nation, our institutions and our honor. You make a mockery of our Pledge of Allegiance, putting your own self-interest above all. Shame on you individually and collectively. You are the worst example of American elitism that exists.
I will insure that everyone I know is informed of your anti-American beliefs. And, believe me, living as I do in North-Central Illinois, I have many good friends in the area of Illinois you represent. They will all hear of your abject disregard for patriotism.
With all the disrespect that is due,
Sincerely,
bcsco
Rochelle, IL
These people are truly vile, and need to be called out on every occasion.
Wonderful, isn't it?
Yeah, I’m sure someone was offended.
There are more of us than there are of them. And if we can all just stand up together, often that’s all it takes!
My Kiwanis club says the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as two prayers, during every weekly meeting. It’ll be a cold day in Hell that they ever stop us from doing so.
Just saying.
Here is her personal web page address: http://www.bradishkenya.com/Bradishes_and_Friends_in_Kenya/Sex_Ed.html
If anyone asks me what I think of that, I'd just have to paraphrase W. C. Fields: "I think I'll have another beer"...
Very well done.
