Chris Coons changed his previous position on the Bush era tax cuts this morning telling me that he would support extending all of the tax cuts for everyone for "several years."
"I am committed to extending the Bush tax cuts for 98 percent of Americans for everybody making up to $250,000, but I would extend them for everyone," the Democratic candidate for Delawares Senate seat told me on GMA.
"Id be willing to extend them for several years for all Americans, of whatever income if that also allows us to reach a bipartisan compromise that makes real progress in offering tax relief to small and medium businesses, to the home office exception, to research and development," he said.
That contradicts President Obamas position and Coons own campaign website, which states High-Income Bush Tax Cuts Should Expire on Schedule.

I’ll say anything, promise anything, just PLEEEEEEZE elect meeeeeee
“I am committed to extending the Bush tax cuts for 98 percent of Americans for everybody making up to $250,000, but I would extend them for everyone”
And..... I promise that I won’t c*m in your mouth if elected and I promise really hard that I WILL love you in the morning.
Any undecided that buys that feint deserves Coons.
Christine must be gaining on him, causing the Bearded Marxist to shift right.
Apparently Coons isn't expecting a "blowout" as the press tells us to expect.
I think that might be the most racist headline I’ve ever seen here at FR...
;-)
There is no such thing as a dem/lib/prog/pop taking a firm stand on any thing or issue....unless it it this:
they will - through any means, fair or foul, legal or illegal, take (read: steal, expropriate, rob, or otherwise acquire) from the rich (read: anyone who has anything they want and which increases their own self-agrandizement) and give (read: with as many strings attached as they are capable of attaching) to the poor (read: anyone who will blindly and without thought give them their vote).
Think about the little tin god.....peee-lousy....dingy harry....and almost all other dem/lib/prog/pops you've read about, heard about, or have known personally....then tell me it isn't a true statement.
Hehehehehe. I think you guys are right. Coons is hearing footsteps gaining on him. He is moving to Christine’s positions.
On the bright side, at least we know no matter who wins that race, we have another vote for an extension of the Bush tax cuts.
If he actually means what he said.
“Hehehehehe. I think you guys are right. Coons is hearing footsteps gaining on him. He is moving to Christines positions.”
It’s pretty quiet here without all the COD-bashers. Where’d they all go?...
Excellent! COD’s Taxman ad must have broken through!
“Its pretty quiet here without all the COD-bashers. Whered they all go?...”
Probably back to dimoKKKRAT underground.
They must be angry at Coons' flip flop. Now it's less likely that "the rich" will pay their "fair share."
Almost 2 weeks still gives her plenty of time.
If Christine pulls this off, it will be so sweet on so many levels. The fifth column here has been so disappointing.
In 2004, the sweetest victory for me was Tom Coburn's in OK. Mainly because I taunted the staffer of an Ohio (GOP) Senator with the news. She, and I'm guessing he, didn't care for Dr. Tom.
Stilettos to be more precise...
Its funny how the conservative message consistently sells and yet the RINOs say the party should move to the left....
