In the race for the coveted absentee vote, Republicans are out to a commanding lead in Duval County.
According to the Duval County Supervisor of Elections, registered Republicans have requested 40,226 absentee ballots compared to 29,293 requested by Democrats. Coming in a distant third is the 7,852 requested by those with no party affiliation.
The early vote is seen as becoming increasingly important. Of the 2.5 million people who voted during the primary races, 56 percent did so before election day.

Duval county is Jax? Lots of O voters there.
Seems wrong to me - should be 4-1 in favor of Republicans. I suspect shenanigans...!
Yup, I think Jville is in Duvall.
I thought this early and absentee voting was supposed to get more votes for the dems. Looks to be backfiring.
I was looking at the CO turnout and it bad news for the Dems...Denver is underperforming the other big four counties (The three denver surburns and El Paso) by atleast 10,000 votes right now, through all three counties are pretty even in register voters. Dougless country which is a country like El Paso but with a smaller population of a 120,000, or 100,000 less then denver has 13,000 or so votes compare to Denver’s 14,000.
Fortunately this is Duval County, Florida not Duval County, Texas.
Jessie Jacksonville?
UNfortunately there was no Republican Primary held in Duval County, Texas in 2010.
