Sorry for the late reply - was in the Bush/Outback for a while. I’ve tried various Aussie food but then again, there’s the ubiquitous US fast food here too ... KFC my fav since they really can’t do fried chicken like back home (the roadside cafe’s) ... haven’t been tipsy enough to try a whichetty grub - Edible either raw or lightly cooked in hot ashes, they are sought out as a high-protein food by Indigenous Australians. The raw witchetty grub tastes like almonds and when cooked the skin becomes crisp like roast chicken while the inside becomes light yellow, like a fried egg..... yeah, right .... will get right on that ....
