Charles Lollar, candidate for Congress in MD's 5th Congressional District, held a press conference on Oct. 19, elaborating on an exchange he had with Steny Hoyer at a candidate’s forum last week. After the exchange, Hoyer turned to Lollar and said, "I'm coming after you." Lollar responded by reminding Mr. Hoyer that working class residents of the 5th Congressional District are coming after him!
During the press conference Mr. Lollar said “Steny Hoyer and I faced off a few days ago in a debate hosted by the Charles County Chamber of Commerce. Many folks were surprised that a businessman, Marine and country boy from southern Maryland who is a political newcomer could get the better of a career politician like Mr. Hoyer, but no one appeared to be more surprised than Steny himself. After the debate, a very frustrated Mr. Hoyer leaned over and said to me, ‘I’m coming after you.’ I think Mr. Hoyer is confused....
“We will use our Constitutional freedoms in November to give you a pink slip, so that freedom loving Americans, regardless of party affiliation, can come in and fix the mess that you have made. Thank you for your service but we can take it from here.”

As far as I know there are no 'public' polls but, Steny is advertising and running scared. I think Lollar has been runnng a very good campaign, been following it. He can and will beat Steny. :)

God bless this man. He is representative of the new breed of Repubs who refuse to be cowled or play politics as usual.
Hoyer is a dull, old, fat man who ought to know better than to take on smarter, younger, tougher guys.
I sent $$$ to Lollar and put him on my facebook.
Promote him every chance I get.

Im in MD-2, but we have a little 'get away' on the water there where we spend a lot of weekends. Looking at the signs it looks good for Charles. I've been following his campaign for months. He is doing a great job. So yes, he is your new congressman. :)

I had Lollar on my facebook before I closed it.
I have been donating to certain candidates and he is one of them.
Hoyer is expecting Mr. Lollar to get back on the plantation. Not going to happen!
I’d love to know an honest poll on that race.
Sorry for the double reply but I just remembered that Charles is one of the combat veterans endorsed by Sarah Palin.
