Virginia Beach is the biggest city in Virginia, and the hometown of the state's current Republican Governor, Bob McDonnell. Now it's also home to the latest example of a racist email forward destroying a prominent conservative's political credibility and possibly career.
As the progressive Blue Virgina blog reported Monday -- and I independently confirmed from one of the recipients Tuesday -- Virginia Beach Republican Party chair Dave Bartholomew forwarded a racist email comparing African Americans to dogs. The email, subject line "my, dog," consists of a racist parable about African Americans and welfare. In the first 24 hours since the email came to light, Democrats condemned Bartholomew and he resigned his position with the Republican Party.

“In the first 24 hours since the email came to light, Democrats condemned Bartholomew and he resigned his position with the Republican Party.”
NOTE: the above ONLY happens when it is a member of the Republican Party.
This thread has no home here.
What do you mean? This is a Republican being forced to resign by screeching pc-obsessed liberals; if it’s not on-topic here, it’s not on-topic anywhere!
(or do you mean I’ve put this in the wrong topic/category/keyword ? If so, apologies)
Yeah, but what is not funny is any conservative/Republican sending anything via e-mail that even slightly suggests any kind of un-PC utterance. Don’t they know by now that they are under a microscope and e-mail is NEVER private.
What a moron
HA...I sent that joke to a few people yesterday....SOME people need more to do with their time ....or as my Mother would say....”If the shoe fits, wear it”
Preach race hate from the pulpit? No prob. Forward an off-color email, federal crime.
Agreed. Shows lack of political smarts. In politics, the old saying still applies for sensitive topics (paraphrased from a French politician) "Never write a letter, nor throw one away."
So PC is more important to Democrats than treason ~ that's not really news.
Good thing we are kicking these pukes out of office in less than two weeks. Be better if we could have them prosecuted and hanged.
I hope this doesn’t blow up Scott Rigel’s campaign for Congress. He had nothing to do with this gross e-mail, but could still be hurt by it.
The joke “could” be considered racist, if you really wanted it to be racist.
My take on this is quite simple ~ the political offense was not in using a type of dog to parallel black people ~ rather, it was in listing the African-American social pathologies that are written about so frequently by people who want to get a doctoral degree or two here and there.
Don't these people know that since the arrival of THE ONE (Obama if you hadn't heard that) all those social pathologies no longer count ~ it's unicorns and petunias everywhere.
I figure that's why the Democrats didn't do anything about JOBS while tens of millions of people were losing theirs. The African American youth unemployment rate is now at third-world levels ~ 48% and climbing.
Yet, just mentioning the more traditional pathologies elicits all sorts of condemnation.
This is why the Democrats and their Leftwingtard cronies and running dog lackeys (that's from a different cultural substrate btw, so it's OK) are going to lose sooooooooo baaaaaaaad in a week and a half.
We will hear the lamentation of their women as we crush the Democrats as we would an enemy, and we will see the losses tallied up on television, as if they were under a yoke and were driven before us like animals. Then we will know what is best in life.
We'll also be done with this stupid PC stuff ~ it's gotten to be a drug with the nattering classes.
Its all Glenn Nye (D) has at this point. Probably won’t be enough to end Scott Rigell’s threat as he had nothing to do with it.
I think people are basically fair and will understand this.
Agreed. At this point they pretty much deserve whatever they get.
(And, yes, it is only the GOP which holds itself to nay kind of standard. ‘Rats never hold their own accountable.)
