I will do everything that I can in the primaries to ensure that in 2012 we do not have a “choice” between Romeny and Obama.

But if it came to that choice, I’d vote for Mitt.

What kind of a name is "Mitt?" Does it have to do with hockey or something?

Sounds more like something to do with baseball to me.

If you real first name was Willard, wouldn't you want to be called something else?

But David Corn LOVES him!

What's not to like about Romney's record in Massachusetts if one is a Marxist?

If my real first name were Mitt, I'd still want to be called something else.

The only thing that is going to save Mitt's sinking campaign are the Taliban Christians like yourself who turn him into a victim of religious bigotry.

I have a number of Mormon friends and the only ones supporting Mitt when offered choices like Sarah Palin are those who support dweebs like Harry Reid, which isn't many.

Yeah, they supported Mitt last time around because he talked the conservative talk, it wasn't clear what a fuster cluck socialized medicine in Massachusetts had become and because there weren't too many viable alternatives. And, yes, some of it was tribal pride.

Look at Nevada. Reid has been booed off stage at Mormon gatherings whereas his opponent has been warmly welcomed. She had the good sense to drop a former pastor who echoed your views long before it became a campaign issue.

So, if you want to bring Romney's campaign back to life, just keep preaching your distorted theology . . .

Romney is still there and is ready to leap in front of his low key but non-stop campaign that he has been running since 2007, people are going to be surprised at the strength of his push, after November 3rd.

Romney is still the leading establishment candidate, and he is one very nasty campaigner, and he has the nastiest, most ruthless, most cutthroat portion of the GOP in his back pocket.

As for Mitt being a Mormon, do you suppose that’s why Glennn Beck is so unpopular and Dingy Harry couldn’t get elected (six times)?

That’s just a convenient excuse for why so many go Eeewww! when they see that fiberglass sales pitch coming.

Proposing a religious test then?

Romney should be a nonstarter for on HUGE GLARING reason.... Romney-care in Massachusetts.

His kooky religious beliefs are a matter between him and his secret underwear.

Focus, people, focus!

Ignore this speculative tripe and concentrate on defeating the b*st*rds who continue to spend us into oblivion.

Right now, nothing matters but The Revolution -— 13 days and counting ... CAN’T WAIT!

"As for Romney and God, evangelical Christians, who make up a hefty chunk of GOP primary voters, can be rather suspicious of Mormonism. Amy Sullivan in The Washington Monthly in 2005 dissected Romney's religious roadblock, noting that that as recently as 2004, "Mormons were specifically excluded from participation in the National Day of Prayer organized by Shirley Dobson (wife of James Dobson, leader of the conservative Christian organization Focus on the Family) because their theology was found to be incompatible with Christian beliefs."

We need to make the Christian world aware that the Catholic church is just as firm in it's declaration that Mormonism is not a Christian religion, but is an entirely different religion of it's own.

The media constantly conceals from Catholics that their church is in absolute, full brothership with Protestant, Evangelical, and Orthodox Christians on Mormonism.

I don’t give a dam about Romney’s religion. This is a political battle not some religious crusade.

Romney is not going to be able to overcome the sacred underwear factor in his quest to become POTUS.

It's two weeks before the 2010 elections. Which means now's a fine time to start obsessing about the 2012 campaign.

Well, I guess, if you are a liberal whack-job trying to do your best to divide your opposition before the election.

Many conservatives see the whole person, that is how smarter conservatives avoid the many fakes and posers that deceive so many less thorough voters. Ignoring cult membership entirely seems to be a pretty stupid thing, that only an easily persuaded moderate would do.

This is not a good political climate for politicians like Romney. 2008 appears to be the straw that broke the RINO’s back. Mitt can step to the back of the bus.

Not to be eligible to run. But for voter discernment...already 3/4 of Evangelicals and a majority of Republicans do take into consideration the faith of the voter.

A Rasmussen poll showed that several years ago.

And voters already weigh issues like that more heavily re: if the candidate was a Muslim or an atheist.

Let's say you met the nicest conservative Muslim candidate...one who said he would take on the homosexual agenda and the abortion agenda...but who still said, "You are an infidel."

In this sense, the candidate has placed a "test" -- a box -- on up to 90% of his voter base...(Republicans tend to identify with Christianity in some way, even if many do so nominally)

So you have it turned around.
