The Sudbury, Ontario plant began operations in 1858, long before cars were invented, and 150 years before hybrids.

Reasonable, informed humans can draw their own conclusions about the "dead as the moon" hysterics.

Anybody want to talk about Chrome? Polonium? Rare Earths?

"Reasonable, informed humans can draw their own conclusions about the "dead as the moon" hysterics."

An informed scientific person could look at widely available satellite photos of the Sudbury area and contrast them to the lush green landscape area miles away from the plant. An child could read Canada's own government 7 year soil, water, sediment study involving 10,000 samples from Sudbury and learn terms like '9,238km2 barren area' and 'little to no organic layer necessary to support plant growth'.

Burtynsky, Tailings 30 Sudbury, Ont

For those who are interested in the ecological disaster that Sudbury is, read this 7 year study done by Canada.
