I was wrong it can’t be a hat it has to be: “All visitors to the Sikh temple are to first remove their shoes and socks and enter the temple only barefoot. They are also enjoined to keep their head covered.Sikhs will wear the turban or a small under turban called the patka. Non Sikhs can enter by covering their head with a handkerchief or cloth or scarf. No woman is to enter the temple without covering her head. Even the Prince Charles had entered the Golden temple at Amritsar with his head covered.”
Looking at the pictures of Stephen Harper, Canada’s Prime Minister http://s.www.sikhnet.com/files/news/2009/November/Harper-1.jpg It doesn’t look like a turban. It looks more like a doo-rag that you see a lot of young African-American men and boys wearing. Others who wear doo-rags are motorcyclists.
On turbans:
Turban over the ears, no need for fears.
Ears showing, Danger growing....
That is something I just made up, but it is a good rhyme to remeber when you see someone in a turban.
(Sikhs wear a turban over the ears, ROPers dont)
