Though I would tweak this line:
This election is not about Republicans suddenly being palatable - It is about "Throw the Bastards Out" - with the Republicans being largely advantaged simply because they are not in power there is still a leadership vacuum because true conservatives have not yet done their duty to offer up a sufficient number of candidates who understand and will faithfully adhere to the Constitution.

Sure, and I agree - But I don't know that it is possible until the infernal pragmatists and pom-pom girls (noticed up-thread) grow up enough to understand that principle must always trump expediency (and popularity).
The TEA Parties have been a wonderful expression of Conservatism, but unless and until the old guard is forced out, it is much ado about nothing. Neo-conservatism must die a cruel death.
