I'm glad the scumbag survived. He really wanted to be a martyr. He will now have to live the rest of his life, paralyzed from the waist down, at the mercy of his American caretakers. It will be a long and miserable existence. While I am a fan of the death penalty, in this particular case, I believe Hasan would prefer it. I would rather he live a long life in a Texas prison.

The problem with this possible sentence is that:

1. a mass murderer who gunned down unarmed and unsuspecting military personnel lives.

2. the tax payers have to foot the bill to keep this mass murderer alive and well.

In this case, justice would not be served for the families of those murdered as well as for society.

I, otoh, want him dead as soon as possible.

Texas prison aren’t that rough and I don’t want our tax money spent on his *special* needs for however many years.
