JetBlue attendant in famous meltdown pleads guilty

NEW YORK -- The JetBlue flight attendant whose job-quitting meltdown landed him in court avoided jail time in a plea deal Tuesday that requires him to undergo counseling and treatment for a least a year.

I was told it cost $25,000 dollars when ever those chutes are deployed...is there any one who can verify that?

that’s what the story says.

On a side note, as an individual who was educated as an Airframe and Powerplant Technician, I can tell you that most things associated with aircraft are ridiculously expensive - mostly due to the FAA certification process for each individual part.

A prime example is the fact tha until rather recently most small airplanes used a magneto to fire their spark plugs. This is a technology that was phased out for farm equipment in the early 50s but is still around for small airplanes cuz the FAA is slow to adopt new technologies and approve them for use in flight...

Until about 20 years ago being queer was considered a mental deviance according to the American Psychiatrist Association. It isn’t now, though the actions of people who are “gay” seem to indicate it still is.
