The big aircraft maker Boeing Co. says "cost pressures" from the new health care law are part of the reason it's asking employees to pay more for their medical benefits next year.
In a letter mailed to employees late last week, Boeing said deductibles and copayments are going up significantly for some 90,000 nonunion workers.
The company cited three major reasons for the cost shift, including untamed health care inflation, the effects of the new law, and lifestyle issues including being overweight and lack of exercise.
Spokeswoman Karen Forte said Boeing is concerned that its relatively generous plan will get hit with a new tax under the law in 2018, but that the company would have made the changes anyway.
Hows that hopey change working for the union scum? LOL
Uh Oh, the government will be mad about this
I hope Dino use this news.
didnt boeing leave washington and relo to chicago?
Hello Patty Murray!
Being discussed on Mark Levin now.
government contracts are immune since we pay for them so costs don’t really matter any way. (sarc)
I believe they have moved the corporate offices to IL, but still have many operations in WA.
I have been waiting for stories like this. This is the proverbial last straw with people. I believe November will be bigger than we realize.
That being said I am out working the neighborhood tonight and contacting my email lists as if we are 10 points behind!
I have a copy of the 2011 Health Insurance program sent out by the Chevron Corporation.
On page 23 it states:
On average your cost increase will be between 24% and 32% for 2011
I suspect most other corporations are sending out the same good news to their employees this month.
These increases are due to ObamaCare for such things as forcing the corporations to insure 26 year old children of their employees.
Maybe the employees of US Corporations will be able to put two and two together and vote against the Democrats on Nov 2.
heeheeheeheeheehee
Did any of the effected employees vote for nobama? Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! I’m sad for those who did not.

“Did any of the effected employees”
I’d guess about 40% of Boeing employees are liberals, so expect they voted for Obama.

Glad I’m part of the 60% and I am a SPEEA union member. They are damn fools.
I just got my letter in the mail today. It seems the deductable went up a few bucks but most things, including the employee monthly cost, stayed the same.
P.S. I am sooooo glad we are not covered under SEEPA. We have a far better life otherwise.
SEEPA = SPEEA. My fingers need retraining.
