A few years ago a self-defense guru was saying not to be afraid of fear, fear is your friend, fear will guide you through a perilous event.
Obama is equating fear and panic. Panic has a bad reputation but it’s been evolutionarily useful: if nothing rational can save your ass, try something irrational! If you’re already going to become dead, you can’t get deader by panicking, and maybe panic will scramble the situation enough so that you can survive.
What a foolish insult! Did God goof when he created man, or did evolution do such a poor job, that we have this basic, life threatening fault? How did the human race survive?
