How do I go about doing that? I’ve been a FR lurker for many of year and a member for a few years and have never seen how to ‘alert a mod.’

The best way to get the mod’s attention is to hit the “report abuse” button. The mods themselves have said so. You will get a composition page where you can describe the problem. FReep-mails may not be seen right away.
