Screw Bipartisianship. The HOUSE holds the purse strings.
Bipartisanship with Democrats is like peace talks with the Taliban.
Incumbent (lame duck) rats will still control both houses until January, they can do a lot of damage in that time.
where is the freeper who jumped me for saying gop is already talking cutting deals with dems..they never stopped dude.
Lindsey, at least Obama is honest about it.
Looked in the mirror lately?
And you can bet they won't squander the time.
Bi-partisanship has got to go. I want warfighters.
Promoting bipartisanship with the democrats is like giving nuclear tipped missiles to Iran in exchange for their promise not to use them.
I hope somebody looks him in the eye and says the election is over and we won deal with it.
Who besides Graham will be in McLames new rubber arm gang.?
To paraphrase a German playwright: “When I hear the word ‘compromise’, that’s when I reach for my revolver.”
Senator Butt-Plug Graham can stuff his wet-dream of bipartisanship.
We will not see a meaningful and lasting positive impact on our economy unless the Bush tax cuts are made permanent. Half measure is no measure at all.
Screw them. SC. Next time you get the chance get rid of little Lindsey.
Even better: Go to a two-rate system linked to each other; and, everyone with income pays income taxes. Remember when the top rate was 28%? Create an 18% rate and a 28% rate. 50% of the population pays 18% and 50% pay 28%. If taxes are raised (or reduced) they remain locked at 10 points difference. That way everyone has "some flesh in the game". Also, set a rigid limit of 10 points above the Fed rate for TOTAL tax burden at all levels, and form all sources (sales, property, telephone, gasoline, energy, etc.) NO deductions for anything (too easy to scam and waaayyyy too expensive to administer). When a taxpayer reaches his annual limit he stops paying taxes. This makes the state and local jurisdictions fight the Feds for balance in TOTAL tax burden. It will take 3/4 vote to raise taxes and is limited to 1 point per year. Also, any Rep or Senator who votes for the tax increase term limits himself to his current term. No more Federal office after his current term. Budget MUST be balanced fir any rolling 5 year period; overspend in year 1 you must make it up in years 2 thru 5.
It sounds to me like Graham said the right things. Alarming the ignorant chattering class with talk about turning Washington DC upside down would not be productive at this point. Sure, I hope a new conservative majority WILL turn Dirty City upsode down, but now is not the time to bloviate.
Let’s just wrap up the mid-terms first. Ubanga will still be president.
