I read the article. It wasn't a ringing endorsement of Obama foreign policy but it sure wasn't much of a criticism, either. If 'diplomatic' is interpreted as saying nothing of any real substance, Condi accomplished that quite nicely. However, she was at the White House as a guest of the president. Not the time or place to announce anything really critical of your host. Still, I doubt Condi Rice is ever going to be a huge critic of Obama because, after all, he's 'historic'.

I assume that Condi Rice was following President Bush’s lead in not being openly critical of the Obama administration while they are in office. The gist of her statement is that Obama is doing nothing that is openly hostile to the welfare of the US. BIG DEAL!
