I’m suspecting I’ll have something he wants in trade.
This will be a 75% currency devaluation. It will not be the end of the world.
Up to 30 years in many cases and 100 years in some.
The degree of preparation I hope to achieve isn't so radical. In fact, it's what our grandparent's generation took for granted as a normal part of the cycle of life on this planet - basically putting back enough food to get through the winter along with a few other provisions to help deal with a prolonged loss of utilities.
I'm a Christian myself, but history is full of non-Christian communities that were stable, so I'm not sure I agree with you on that.
And I'm sure such communities will be painfully aware of their limitations. In fact, if they ever come into existence every day will be a struggle against their limitations.
Security considerations will force them to expand.
I hope these things never happen, though. When I left the family farm it was with the intention of not becoming a farmer again. :(
Ahh yes, the dreaded, unidentified banker with no back up. LOL!
Given that this money is, like all fiat currency, issued in the form of debt, how would that extra $30 trillion ever be paid back?
Given that this assclown has no clue......
When the Fed prints new money (or creates it on a computer), there is no new debt involved. Why would it have to be paid back?
Stable is a relative term. In such a SHTF scenario ‘stable’ could be far from what we consider ‘stable’ now.
Further if they expand and their numbers increase, there will be huge problems for them concerning power and control of their group, factions and probably infighting for control. Without the Holy Spirit guiding these people they will be doing things for all the wrong reasons and not have that Godly guidance in the midst of the largest calamity anyone’s faced since the flood. They are not equipped to deal with it. Many Christians will not be either, mentally or supply-wise.
This thread gives me an ulcer lol. Supply wise, I’m ready. I’m not ready to see my nestegg disappear however. It seems too late to buy gold; maybe silver, but how much?
A detailed community charter has already been drawn up and subjected to peer review and revised. All these issues (and more) are already anticipated and covered there. In fact, the charter even contains a detailed 'todo list' so that everyone goes right to work. Here's a link to where it may be downloaded, FWIW:
