O’Donnell Outpaces Coons in Fund-raising (2 to 1)
The Wall Street Journal/Washington Wire ^ | October 15, 2010 | Brody Mullins

Christine O’Donnell, Delaware’s Republican Senate candidate, surprised her Democratic opponent, Chris Coons, by raising more than twice as much money in the three months ending Sept. 30, according to the campaigns.

O’Donnell also has twice as much money in the bank for the final stretch of the campaign.

O’Donnell’s campaign and Federal Election Commission records show that the Republican raised $3.9 million in July, August and September; Coons reported raising $1.5 million.

She also ended the quarter with a bigger bank balance — $2.6 million – compared with Coons’s $1.3 million, fund-raising reports show. O’Donnell was the upset winner of a Republican primary in August, beating Republican Rep. Michael Castle, who was considered a shoo-in for the Senate seat formerly held by Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden and President Barack Obama traveled to Wilmington, Del., today for a fund-raiser for Coons.

I think you’re right. I think there’s a plan to flood with ads and actions in the last two weeks.

Just a hunch.

Coons is a lying sack of excrement.

A requirement for a democrat sanctioned politician before running for office.

She has stayed on message just about as good as anybody I’ve seen this election cycle.

It’s what she did with the money from her last two runs for this seat. In fact, it’s what most perennial candidates like O’Donnell do.

Could you perhaps be persuaded to give the O’Donnell-bashing a rest until after the election?

Thanks.

The same thing that happened the last two times she ran: she uses it to live off.

I highly doubt that my skepticism of her candidacy on the backwater comments section of an anonymous internet forum will make or break an election that she has probably already lost by a hefty margin. It will, as it should, throw cold water upon the irrational idiots who think she’s some heroine of modern conservatism despite all evidence to the contrary, with the hope that when she loses it will serve as a much-needed reminder of the importance of vetting our candidates before we embrace them.

On the contrary.

FR is America’s foremost conservative political forum.

What is said here, matters. Please post accordingly.

Thanks in advance.

You keep telling yourself that. And at the same time, perhaps you can convene a pretend Congress here and start passing legislation to see where it gets you.

Come back when my posts here get quoted on the front page of the New York Times. But until then I am perfectly confident that what I say about O'Donnell on the backwaters of a commentary thread will have little to no bearing on her electoral viability.

Freepers can help in other ways. Christine’s people have got a way to help in other way than money. You can make phone calls from your computer. Contact her, she needs volunteers for the phone banks:

TCJ poll released tonight:

Can you link to that poll. If it's down to single digits now, I predict a win. I was not expecting that until ten days out. If this poll is real, it is awesome news for Christine & for America!
