I don’t get it. “Veterans?” Does he mean all vets, or just disabled ones? Most likely the ones who get disability pay which I do get. In 2009 I had to pay that $250 back on my taxes. This time around I don't want it. Everything thing this Mephistopheles doles out has a condition, a Faustian bargain.

It's not a 'measly $250' for some people. Those people who chose to work "every now and then" -
or part time sometimes - might only be receiving $300 a month in Social Security to start with... For them - this is big.
For the person who worked their whole life, played by the rules, and tried to get ahead - and paid a lot into the system - this is nothing.
Obama's doing a redistribution from those who paid into the system to those who didn't pay crap...
