I agree. But, as I've posted several times: Biden is the canary in the coal mine.
If there is truly a movement to get rid of Obama, Biden will be replaced first. Biden is Obama's insurance -- because Obama knows that no one wants Biden in the Oval Office.
Agnew was Nixon's insurance. Nixon despised Agnew, and purportedly admitted that he kept Agnew on for the second term only because no one would want Agnew in the Oval Office. So, before they could remove Nixon, Congress had to remove Agnew. Agnew was dirty (and apparently was known to be so long before he was elected VP), so that was no problem.
In Biden's case, the Democrats probably don't need anything on him. Biden is stupid enough to resign and let someone else take his place. But, Democrats want to be sure they have someone that can be re-elected in 2012 after pardoning Obama to cover up their malfeasance in the 2008 election. The Democrats don't want to repeat the Republicans' experience with Gerald Ford.
I think the Democrats believe that person is Hillary. I don't agree, but I'll bet the Democrats think so. And that's probably the reason for the recent trial balloons. Or, perhaps the Democrats are simply warning Obama what will happen if he doesn't play along.
If I were Obama, I would still be very afraid of Hillary and Bill. The animosity during the campaign was real and I believe it went beyond politics. Time will tell.
