I am a woman and even I am getting sick of all the breast cancer awareness extravaganzas. I’m glad that breast cancer has gotten more attention and more women are testing regularly for this disease, but this is overkill. No pun intended.

I know many people affected by breast cancer, but I know if I say anything detrimental about the overuse of “pink” it will seem like I am cold-hearted. So I won’t say anything.

But, enough!

I could not agree more. I was just extorted at the supermarket for another donation. They make sure every person in line behind you knows whether you say yes or no. I'm very, very tired of it. I've donated plenty to it over the years but have no idea where the money goes, how it's used, the rake-offs by the people who administrate it, etc.

I have a daughter in law who's recently had 3 breast cancer surgeries so it's not as if I'm unaware of the terrors of the disease. I just want accountability and fewer intimidating tactics in my "voluntary" donations.
