I don't see much point in paying much attention to this exchange at all. As soon as the Huckster raises the issue she objects that it was not what she was told they would be discussing and admits that she's not prepared to discuss it. Since he clearly won't drop it, and interrupts her several times as she attempts to support the statement, I think she did an amdirable job explaining the context in which she made the statement and using his own line of reasoning to make her point, all after being ambushed.

Even so, one shouldn't put much emphasis on the exchange, one way or the other.

What she fails to do, however, is come up with a reason why she supported the more liberal Mitt Romney. Romney was the most liberal and dishonest candidate among the three remaining contenders and it was disgraceful Coulter supported him.
