Editor's Note: During tonight's Bangor gubernatorial debate Sen. Libby Mitchell lectured Mayor Paul LePage about treating all president's respectfully. Mitchell's comments followed Shawn Moody's criticism of Mayor LePage's saying he would tell Pres. Obama to "go to hell" if Pres. Obama wanted to put Maine fishermen out of business through punitive federal regulations.
LePage rebutted Mitchell saying, respect cuts both ways, and he used a photo he had seen of the Sen. President laughing at a picture of Pres. George W. Bush portrayed as a terrorist. Mitchell said she had no idea what LePage was talking about.
Well, Sen. Mitchell here's what Mayor LePage was talking about:

The feigned look of disbelief on her face is truly Priceless.

Another dem liar.
They have an inherent failure to grasp the concept of a double-edged sword.
Not fit for office.
Elizabeth H. “Libby” Mitchell (born Elizabeth Anne Harrill June 22, 1940 in South Carolina[1]) is a Democratic member of the Maine Senate, and that party’s 2010 candidate for the office of Governor of Maine.
Mitchell has represented the 24th State Senate District since 2004 and has served as Senate President since 2008. Earlier she was a member of the Maine House of Representatives from 1974 through 1984. She ran for the U.S. Senate in 1984, earning 24% of the vote against incumbent William Cohen. She also ran for the U.S. Congress in the 1990 Democratic Primary, finishing third with 17% of the vote. She was again elected to the Maine State Legislature in 1990, and served through 1998. She was Speaker of the House from 1997 through 1998. In 2004, she was elected to serve Maine’s 24th district in the senate, and on December 3, 2008 she was unanimously elected as Maines 113th Senate President.
A liar / lawyer and nothing else.
If you could see what these socialists and their allies are up to here in Maine you would be totally vindicated in your beliefs of how rotten to the core they are.
This clown (MItchell) takes “clean election fund” aka taxpayer funded election money and runs the most negative campaign against the Republican candidate in state history. Not one peep from the media about how nasty her campaign is. Her teacher union allies are dumping hundreds of thousands of dollars into the race and the media is piling on. LePage is ahead by a small amount, and if he wins the battle here is just beginning. She (Mitchell) represents everything rotten about the state of politics here and around the country.
Up north real men use a woodchipper to dispose of women like this!
Cohen was no bargain either but I was glad he beat her in 1984. As I recall, in that campaign Mitchell had “anti nuclear activist” Helen Caldicott campaign for her. At a rally she bellowed that we are all going to get nuked because of the true force of evil in the world, President Reagan! She told school kids in the audience they must vote for Libby if they don’t want to die. Can you believe the lies and the hysteria?? If this is what Maine wants in a governor then I guess that state should be written off.
“Sen. Libby Mitchell lectured Mayor Paul LePage about treating all president’s respectfully.”
This hypocrite waited until George Bush was out of office to initiate the novel custom of respecting Presidents.
we'll give the boy the same respect the RATS gave President Bush...
My liberal SEIU card carrying S-I-L doesn’t even like Mitchell (too liberal) but she thinks LePage is “too mean.” She’ll probably end up voting for one of the independents. She just can’t see that a real fighter will be required to start the process of setting Maine straight. I look forward to seeing those headlines “LePage tells Obama to go to hell, again.”
Awesome!
