To: Last Dakotan

Been there, seen it. Went there to visit the in-laws....

To call China a “third world nation” is a compliment. Lots of nice shiny new buildings, surrounded by trash. People sweeping the streets with tree branches outside of those shiny new buildings. Constuction workers loading dump trucks with shovels, by hand. Running sewers under metal plates on the sidwalks, with people eating at outdoor “restaurants” on top of the plates (that overflow).

And the smog.....

Tree branches ?I bet you saw this . In Japan it is called a take boki . Cost about 3 dollars and lasts for years and years .
